Designed by world renowned architect Kengo Kuma, this exquisite café appears to float over the hillside, and the veranda seats in particular offer a place to immerse oneself in the beauty of the seasons – cherry blossoms in spring, cool breezes in summer, colorful leaves in fall, and gentle rain in winter.

The menu features green tea specially ordered from Jugetsudo tea company paired with seasonal Japanese confections. The confections in the Matcha with Shibori Set、Sencha with Castella Set、Hojicha with Anpan Set、and Genmaicha with Manju Set, served on Japanese plates, are made by local Japanese confectioneries under the supervision of Jugetsudo. The staff, all trained by Jugetsudo, graciously and kindly explains the art of Japanese tea to people who may be trying Japanese tea and sweets for the first time. This is the only place in the U.S. where one can enjoy Jugetsudo tea.

Light meals including yakitori-style fried rice and takikomi gohan-style fried rice, by AJINOMOTO, are also served at lunchtime from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
